Whether you want to get a head start in preparation for high school color guard and winter guard or are looking to keep spinning without the time or financial commitment of the Varsity Guard, our NEW JV Winter Guard is a great place to learn and grow!
This introduction to color guard and winter guard is a great opportunity to learn to spin and dance in a low-pressure, positive environment.
Our JV winter guard is open to students at all District 202 High Schools and Middle School 7th and 8th grade students and enrollment in band is not required. This is a “no-cut” group and the level of challenge/difficulty will be determined by the skills of our students. It is okay to walk in having never spun a flag as long as you’re excited to learn and willing to work hard!

Fees / Cost of Participation
This program is not eligible for fee waivers because all fees are paid to Plainfield Marching Arts Boosters, not District 202. If the financial commitment is a challenge, please reach out to us to work out a plan or fundraising opportunities.
Audition Fee – $0
Participation Fee – $100
The Participation Fee includes all necessary equipment, 28 hours of instruction from a WGI Independent World Class performer, a PWG t-shirt, and music copyright licensing for performances.
Every student must provide their own color guard gloves. These are specifically made for this activity. Please do not attempt to substitute other types of gloves. They come in a variety of sizes and in black or tan. We recommend purchasing them at Amazon.
