UPDATED 10/31/2024
Plainfield Winter Guard JV is a program for students in PSD202 Schools. The goal of the group is to develop the skills of beginning and intermediate performers in the areas of flag, rifle, sabre, and dance. The intention is for students to eventually “graduate” into the Varsity group, but there are students that enjoy the environment of JV and decide to stay in the group for several years! Please see all information below and review our calendar online at https://plainfieldwinterguard.org/calendar/ to ensure that your student can attend all competitions and rehearsals. Absences are expected to be minimal or nonexistent, and weekly conflicts are not allowed. Please direct all questions to Chris Vanderwall and Kelsey Arnony at cvanderw@psd202.org and pioguard2166@gmail.com.
Fees / Cost of Participation
This program is not eligible for fee waivers because all fees are paid to Plainfield Marching Arts Boosters, not District 202. If the financial commitment is a challenge, please reach out to us to work out a plan or fundraising opportunities.
There are no auditions for JV and we welcome performers of all skill levels including beginners.
Participation Fee – $550
Every student must provide their own color guard gloves. These are specifically made for this activity. Please do not attempt to substitute other types of gloves. They come in a variety of sizes and in black or tan. We recommend purchasing them at Amazon.
